What kind of weather should I expect in August in Brazil?
August in Brazil is late winter, which means mild and pleasant conditions. In Rio de Janeiro and Paraty, you can expect daytime temperatures between the low 70s and 80s °F (22–27 °C), cooler evenings, and plenty of sunshine with lower humidity. In Salvador, it will feel warmer and more tropical, with average highs in the low to mid 80s °F (27–29 °C), occasional showers, and breezy evenings by the bay. Overall, it is one of the best times to visit Brazil, with comfortable weather for touring, outdoor activities, and enjoying the coast.

Will I encounter non-plant-based food during the trip?
Because food culture varies around the world, you may see non-plant-based dishes being served at nearby tables or displayed in local markets. What matters most is that every meal we provide for our group is fully plant-based, carefully arranged so you can relax and enjoy without worry. We partner with restaurants and chefs who understand our needs, and in destinations where plant-based options are less common, we take extra care to ensure your dining experience still feels abundant, authentic, and joyful.
I’ve never been out of the country and feel unsure about what to do.

Do I have to participate in all of the activities?
To truly enjoy the full experience, we recommend sticking with the group’s itinerary. Every activity has been carefully chosen to give you an immersive and enriching experience. If you decide to opt out of an activity, please note that refunds or credits are not available for missed group activities.
Will I need a passport?
Yes! A valid passport is required. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. If you need to renew or apply for one, we recommend doing so as soon as possible.
How active is this trip?
This trip involves heavy walking and active days, including exploring cultural sites and city tours for many hours. Comfortable shoes are a must! If you have concerns about the activity level, please reach out to discuss whether this trip is a good fit for you.
Will I need to learn the local language?
Not at all! While knowing a few phrases can enhance your experience, your guides will help bridge any language gaps. Plus, many locals in tourist areas speak English.
